Gracias. I figured it was something like that. But over here in the
'50's and '60's we had all sorts of descriptives for amplifier power
that could make a 15 watt amplifier look like 400 watts. Fortunately
we're past that in most branches of the industry now - though I recall
not long ago seeing a "400 watt stereo" set of PC speakers powered by
a wall wart with 6V, 500 mA output.


Even today you can see 'computer speaker ' systems rated 400W-ish that run
off a wall-wart !
