Is it really necessary to get a powerbook if i'm going to be using pro
tools le? I have a friend now who uses pro tools on an ibook g3
800mhz, don't know the ram. It "works", but can be tempermental.

I'm thinking that an ibook 1.2ghz with the max ram will do the trick,
but I just want to see what other people think.

Thanks for the help.

Ethol, I use a G4 iBook, 933MHz, 640Mb ram, 40Gb system drive and a 40Gb
external firewire drive with a Digi002. Works well for me with ProTools LE
6.3.4, OS10.3.4.

Mind you I don't use high track numbers, but the 16 track demo tha Digi
supply as a demo ran fine.
