I reckon any post to this newsgroup made with a standard modem would
qualify ...

The old Commodore modems had no way to disable auto-answer, so if you
got a phone call you'd have to whistle 300-baud carrier so the modem
would pick up and then disengage. Got real good at whistling 2225 Hz.
