Oddly enoough, the same trouble is on my MacG4 87DP w/Pioneer 4x DVD
burner. Pops out, pops in, wont pop out, wont pop in....CD stuck,
Computer freezes...oy Vey!

Any clues?

It happens in PCs, too. The cure is to replace the defective drive.
