There are a couple of possibilities I can think of by way of explanation:

(1) He thinks Pinocchio lives in Hong Kong, and he's always been iinterested
in meeting other lying puppets.

(2) He's extremely delusional and thinks he's *in* Hong Kong.

(3) One of the hospital staff told him that the "suit" he was wearing - the
one with all the straps and buckles and unusual sleeves - was a fine Hong King
tailored men's suit.

(4) His "love" of Hong Kong is just his "opinion", and we all know what Mikey's
"opinions" really are.

(5) All of the above.
