No, not really. In fact, when I saw that pic (which is from January of
2001,
I
think), it was definitely a wake-up call. In November of 1999, I was
diagnosed
with diabetes. At that time I weighed 187 (I'm 5'10") and was in what I
felt
was the best shape of my life.
My first doctor prescibed Glyburide, which is notorious for slowing down
metabolism. My eating and exercise habits had not changed, but I gained a
bunch of weight inexplicably. I consulted my doctor, but he really didn't
give
me any guidance. I wound up "firing" him soon after this photo was taken
when
I found out what Glyburide did. At the time of that photo, I weighed about
240.

My new doctor put me on Metaformin, and the weight pretty much came right
off.
I never got back down to 187, but I'm pretty close to 200. Not exactly
petite,
but not bad.

One documented picture would silence us all, Fat Ass. Where is it?
