NO! It's a usenet confrontation that spills into your personal life
because
of your obsession with trying to destroy Brian. If you and your zealot
sidekicks just ignored him from the beginning (yes, I know he's a pain

the ass) and chose not to attack him with all your assinine personal
assaults, you would probably have been spared all the "real" abuse you

received from him.

If the conflict were solely between McCarty and me, it would be
difficult to refute you. However, there have been absolutely silent
victims
in this. A man was selling hifi equipment out of his house. I will not
name
him here. While living in Australia, McCarty filed a complaint with the
city
in which this man lived. The city chose to ignore it. McCarty then
threatened to sue them for failing to make the municipal website
accessible
to the blind. The city reluctantly acted, and required that this man
remove
the stock from his house. This inconvenienced him so badly, he sold his
house and moved to another city, where he carries on business, BUT NOT ON
USENET. At no time did the city or anyone else determine that there was
criminal activity. There were no complaints against this man here. He was
well regarded.

So what's this got to do with you or usenet?


In another case, McCarty claimed to authorities that a hifi store was
selling stolen goods. Unknown to him, this store was part of a two-store
incorporated chain, with all their paperwork in order.

Donald Winslow has never said anything about McCarty at all. He sells
cables and a smattering of other things. Two years ago, McCarty complained
to Portland, Oregon. The complaint was dismissed as groundless, but Mr.
Winslow has to constantly put up with McCarty's harassment.

Again, what's this got to do with you?


IMHO, you perceive the situation too much from the buyer's point of
view. There are many buyers who subconsciously believe that many dealers
are
profiteers. There should always be a healthy competition between buyers
and
sellers in setting the price. McCarty seems to have some sort of a
deep-seated anti-profit motive. He has a mental problem that is both
caused
and has caused his various business failures. He has an ego like a bladder
that expands to fill all available space. In the past, he has declared his
intention to control posting on this group, essentially to make it his
fief.

So, given your equally ego filled bladder, you get yourself into a ****ing
match with Brian and perpetuate it on usenet.


I admit it gives me continuing pleasure to make McCarty pay terribly
for
his obsession.

At times, I wonder if you are really just Brian's alterego.

Brian once said we'd never get rid of him. That may be true,
but I'm pleased to see that he has suffered horribly for it. Everyone is
responsible for their actions in this world. Brian derives his pleasure
from
making other people on this newsgroup suffer. Actually, there has been
little effect on me personally. Brian has tried to harass me, my friends,
and neighbors, but it doesn't work. I simply show them the dossiers, and
they have been very understanding.

My ethics require me to be responsible to the plight of fellow human
beings.

While I understand that my posts may be a nusiance to some, they
inform the many newbie lurkers, so that they can quickly learn to ignore
Brian, as the rest of us do so well when we choose to buy and sell.

Your agenda seems to be focused on your personal war with Brian rather than
on any sincere attempt to "inform" the newbies. You actually appear, from
some of your posts, to have become MORE deranged than Brian.
