Default Inteference with new speakers and head unit

Hi everyone,

First of all, i'm a complete newbie when it comes to anythin
electronic (excluding computers).

This post shares a few similarities with "Bad Static":
http://tinyurl.com/27zc5

The problem is after the installation of a brand new JVC head uni
(KD-S895) and new speakers (Cacedence 120W Max, 60W RMS speakers in th
back) and Clarion 120W (140 on speakers) MAX and 30W RMS in the fron
(yes I know their different, I bought the clarions 6months before t
fix the previous static problems).
The head units output is 4*50W MAX and approx 4*19W RMS.

The problem is when turned up the head unit creates heavy stati
interference, my old head unit (stock head unit for skyline (r31) gx
1988) went louder than my current head unit which doesn't really mak
sense.
The problem mainly occurs on songs with any kind of higher pitch .
For example Benny Bensai Satisfaction goes very loud while somethin
like (Crack It) Something Going On - Bomfunk MC's feat Jessica Fol
will play extremely badly at any volume above 14....

We believed that the problem was grounding so the head unit now has
grounding points 1 to the car's cigarette lighter grounding wire an
one to a metal bar which supports the head unit.
The way the car is wired its very hard to ground each individua
speaker (although its possible).

Would grounding be the problem? Or is it speaker wiring or somethin
totally different (I'd rather not purchase an amp because I don't nee
really loud music, just moderately loud)?.

Note that I've being comparing this setup to a friends 1990's Hond
Accord with stock speakers and a JVC head unit with 4*45Watt max an
his was definitely more powerful...

Please try and help, if you need more details just ask.

Regards,
Gareth
