And I have some trouble believing anyone who thinks a ( valve or other ) amp can
sound superior when the speaker output has to pass through a lump of iron called
a transformer with all its own attendant non-linarites !

I actually have nothing *against* valves - just the quasi-religious belief in
their superiority exhibited by some ppl.

The absence of the equivalent of npn/pnp complementary types in the valve domain
also limts their usability.
