I have done both.

No. The alarm controls a normally open starter interrupt so I can't start
the car with a dead alarm. In retrospect, I suppose I could've
temporarily patched the starter line. I did the interrupt myself, so I
know how, but it would've been a major pain in the ass.

Have you tried to contact CS with your above post?


No, I suppose I should try that.

I have the CS 2002 v IV and is working great.. Except for the very
poor range which I blame on the installer..


Yeah, when my alarm worked it had poor range. I hope that wasn't the
installer's fault. I put the antenna up high as possible inside the
windshield, just like the manual said.

I see they did redo their website but it is still a waste of
serverspace.
