Good grief, you're dumb. If 'spotted dick' really did mean 'acned
youth' in certain regions of the planet, then it would be an idiom. To
say the *name of something* is an 'idiomatic expression' is really,
really stupid. Spotted Dick is the name of an English pudding. It is
not an 'idiomatic expression' meaning anything else.

Noticing repeated disappearance of relevant quoted test that gives the lie
to everything devil has to say.

Devil - A 99 flake is a cone of ice cream with a Flake stuck in it. A
Flake is a, um, flaky tube of chocolate. Looks a bit like a
skinny turd that experienced a stressful extrusion.

Phillips - First the spotted dick and now this.

Arnold -You should stay out of foreign countries that also speak English,
Phillips. The concept of idiomatic expressions seems to be way over
your head.

How's *that*?

Apparently, the "concept of idiomatic expressions" seems to be "over
your head", not The Devil, Phillips, or weil.

Give it up, Arnold. You know that you didn't know what spotted dick
was and you had to look it up. Be a man for a change and just admit
it. It will do you good in church today.
