I must admit that did make me laugh rather a lot. One can only guess
what the idiomatic expression 'spotted dick' actually means. I
always thought it was the name of a horrible currant pudding.

Good grief, you're dumb. If 'spotted dick' really did mean 'acned
youth' in certain regions of the planet, then it would be an idiom. To
say the *name of something* is an 'idiomatic expression' is really,
really stupid. Spotted Dick is the name of an English pudding. It is
not an 'idiomatic expression' meaning anything else.


Noticing repeated disappearance of relevant quoted test that gives the lie
