What kind of budget are we talking about? And what expectations do you have for
the system? A lot has changed in car audio, as you've said, but quality still
costs money. Oz Audio still makes a GREAT speaker, among my favorites. But
there are many other new or improved speakers on the market today that may not
have been as good or existed at all 9 years ago. If you're not looking for a
sub and sub amp, then a really nice system is possible for $800 to $1,000,
which should include installation and wiring. I can reccomend Alpine's Type-S
line and Pioneer's REV series speakers as "reasonablly" priced speakers, but
you may have other options.
