Steinbergs Declick and Denoise plugins (and SF NR plug) work well in
realtime if you don't aim too high. I used this combination a while
back with a 20bit A/D soundcard, outputting the results to minidisc
via SP/DIF. Got through a few hundred records this way, taking a
couple of minutes at the start of each record to take noise prints,
optimizing settings and levels in Live Monitor mode. Then it was just
a case of cueing and recording the throughput. The results were very
good.

I hope those plugins had nothing to do with Gene Steinberg (aka Steinborg
aka
Steindrone). As far as RAO was concerned, he got declicked and denoised a
long
time ago .
