I've always enjoyed reading your posts and have learned a great deal from
them.
Too bad, the selfish, arrogant, mean spirited, vicious, compulsive posters
in this
news group got to you and have bled the life out of this newsgroup. I gave
up on them a couple of years ago. The inappropriate
mean spirited dribble posted by these guys would make a delinquent
preadolescent boy proud.

I'm sure a psychiatric/psychological journal will publish your article.
The nut jobs in this group will make for highly spirited conversations
among psychiatric professionals. I've been of reading/posting in usenet
groups and
and internet newsgroups for twenty years and I've never read anything like
the yahoos in newgroups
post.

OK, people, RAO has begun to bore me and my other duties are
not being attended to.

Besides, I have what I need, and I must say that you clowns
mostly lived up to my expectations. Exceptions to the rancor
against Ferstler rule were Arny (of course) and Norm Strong
had some nice things to say, and Lionel, torresists and a
few others were doing some good Ferstler defending during
the various series. I should also mention Trevor, who did
rationally engage one of my audio posts. Nice going, Trevor.
(I posted a response to his commentary, but that will be the
end of it for me.) Even Dave Weil was fairly stable in some
posts, as was Mr. Atkinson. Most of the rest of my
antagonists were their infantile selves. I still cannot
figure out how Richman can post as much as he does all day
long and still maintain a psychology practice.

Anyway, I am having second thoughts about doing an article
centered on this group. It would just not be able to hold
the attention of my readers, and there are just too few
people involved on RAO for me to believe that the newsgroup
is significant. I will do a piece about high-end audio
(which obviously has some big problems, most of which are
related to the kind of people who get suckered into the
gimmick branch of the hobby), but it will probably do no
more than localize the RAO example in a footnote about
extreme lunacy.

One thing about this series did interest me. It was
incredible just how many posts and counterposts were
generated by me just showing up and mouthing off a little.

As I noted previously, most of you clowns need to get a
life.
