The Morein family has been trying to get Bob into treatment for years, and
he uses such discussions as an opportunity to point out that he's got an
"education" and that he's "too smart to benefit from psycho-quackery".

And since he's never been employed, he's got no disgruntled employer to
steer him in that direction.

So what's a family to do when they have no influence in this matter? Wait
for the inevitable break with reality and have him hospitalized? This seems
to dangerous for the community at large.
