Do you own an amplifier with an input labelled "phono"? If not,
either look around second-hand sources for one that has, or buy a
phono preamp.

I assume you have some sort of amp for your other music listening?
The preamp will connect to this. You don't need to spend big money
on a phono preamp. It's a very simple circuit, included as standard
in all domestic amplifiers until quite recently.
