Default Levels on Dynaudio test CD (Air series)

We are using the Dynaudio test CD for calibrating studio sound level.
The levels on this CD are according to the booklet relative to 0dB FS.

Calibration works like this. Play a -20dB FS pink noise signal and ajust
the level one loudspeaker creates in the room so that it reads 83 dBSPL
C-weighted, slow.

To my surprise the levels on the test CD are not what they seem to be.
They are relative to the maximum (positive) digital value.

0dB FS is defined as the RMS level of a sinewave at max. digital level.
There is a 3.01 dB difference between 0dB FS and the max pos. signal value.

Does anyone have share the same experience?

My regards
