I'm guessing they fix whatever's broken (often nothing), put on a new faceplate and package them.



To be honest, though, for $20 + shipping difference in price, since
I don't need any more headphones, I'd probalby opt for one with a
factory warranty just in case. And, no, off the top of my head, I can't
say just how many dollars a warranty would be worth to me

FYI it's only 30 days on the refurbs.
