Intermittent pop in PPA 2ube mic

Thanks Scott for the good advice. I phoned them(pacific pro audio) today and they will repair it for free, even though I bought it over a year ago.
They are good folks.
If you have a second, can you describe "a side effect of a very low frequency rumble"? from the mic? the stand? the source?
From the mike... one of the standard ways that condenser mikes fail is that
they get contamination on the capsule or the electronics, and that forms
leakage paths for currents. It only takes a tiny fraction of a milliamp
to cause problems on these high-Z circuits. So you get rumbling at very
low frequencies. It's usually way too low to hear, but you can see it on
the meters, and occasionally something will clip somewhere and you'll hear
a pop.
