Default subwoofer recomendation for nht A10's

Hello once again,

I decided to order a HSU STF-2 powered sub today-it looks like it
will fit my needs very well and cost only $400 delivered. Now I'd like
to search for a crossover used-I looked on ebay and found an Ashly
XR1001 that may go for reasonable dough in a few days(I'm hoping
around $150) Scott, do you have any recomendations for crossovers to
look for on ebay, especially ones with a wide crossover point? You've
pointed me in the right direction several times and led me to pick up
some of the best gear I own(beyer m160(ya!deutches ebay!)m69(auch!)
re18, the fet mod for the 2001,etc)and I really appreciate the
direction you take in terms of recording asthetics

Mike

Thanks a lot to both of you for the advice. Arny,
do you have a preference between the Rane and the dbx?Scott,
I went to the HSU site and their stuff looks great! They have a new sub
that just came out, the STF-2 that may work for me now, or I might go
for the TN-1220HO in a few months. What's your take on the crossovers
Arny mentioned? Thanks,

The Rane AC-22 can be hacked up to be decent, but the filters on it are kind
of harsh-sounding stock. They also have a sub-bass filter in there that
I don't like. I sort of look at the Rane as a good project because it can
be turned into a good crossover and it shows up used for cheap. I don't know
the MX-22.

Never used the DBX.

One of the things about the A10s is that you can probably get by with a
very low filter slope and a wide crossover point. The Hsus go fairly
high up so you can get a lot of overlap. I tend to like wider crossovers
when I can get away with them.
