Regarding impedance numbers on the backs
of amplifiers in my stereo thread, you stated
they served as " a guide for salesmen".

I doubt that all labelling - on audio equipment
and even on forms of physical media - as
well as how songs are sequenced on a piece of
vinyl - is for marketing purposes and should be
taken with a grain of salt.
