Well, I replaced my totaled Honda Accord V6 6MT with a Mustang GT, and I
can't stand that POS factory Shaker 500 head unit.
Thus far I have narrowed its replacements down to the following:
Alpine 9885 - Lower cost but "would do" for now. Would put it in the
1997 Civic when I purchase one of the two below...
Alpine 9887 - Because I am planning on adding to the Ford factory sound
system at a later date. J/L Audio Stealthbox and replace 6x8s with
higher quality and add amps for everything except the factory subs in
the doors.
Pioneer AVIC-D3 - Don't really need nav, but this would fill the double
din hole in the dash. I also have concerns I will mod it to play video
while driving, so maybe I shouldn't do this.
Are there any other head units that I should consider?
