Now that you mention it, the USA needs a lot more socialism than it has
now. If we had a proper nanny state overseeing education, no way a dork
like Scottie would have escaped elementary school with such a terrible
grasp of our language.

this was a policy prevalent in the 80's and 90's
it was widely discussed back then, it became controversial
the professionals in the education establishment
were, and are, very strongly tilted to the liberaql bent.
the idea behind it was to not
damage the self esteem of children.
this has been widely known as a 'liberal' position,
where do You want to go now?
you want to argue thaqt the libs were for Vietnam and the cons wantd
withdrawaql?

No, you have it backwards, dummkopf. This mush-brained nonsense is the
product of conservatives, specifically the Tard Branch of your "movement".
You know who they are -- the ones who elected Ronnie Rayguns and then
celebrated the damage he and his cohort did to our great country.

Depends on what you mean by the "establishment". K-12? Higher ed?
Faculty? Administrators? Boards?

Incorrect. The reasons are money and gutless administrators bowing to
parental pressure.
Can you produce ONE document supporting your belief? A policy? A
position paper? A statement from an administrator?

That's the neocon take. My sister studied in Leningrad (as it was
named then) for several months in the late 1970s. She came back and
announced the Soviet Union was well on the road to collapse from
internal pressures.
The Soviet Union would have eventually collapsed all on its own
without Reagan. Reagan *may* have sped it up by a couple of year, but
that was not worth the massive military spending.

Jenn, will you PUHLEEZE not argue the policies or positions of the
Liburral educational system. Rush has beaten this topic to death for
over 10 years. He has proven, without the possibility of being
incorrect, that a Liburral education helps insure the demise of the
US, right alongside gay marriage.
I can see right through your smokescreen. You think that you can
deflect attention from your weak position by simply asking for proof.
Do you think that the Liburrals would be so stupid as to leave a paper
trail leading to the conspiracy? Do you think the unions would allow
that? Do you think Rush could be wrong?
Really, now. It's very clear to me that you are a Liburral tree-
hugging Code Pink environmental whacko Rainbow Coalition anti-free
speech socialist. And you must be blind. Why don't you clean up your
own act first?

5 factors
A) Reagan
B) Walesa
C) Pope John Paul II
D) Communosm just does not work very well, it flies on the face of
human nature
and, the one more important than the others, though they
are all important,
E) the advent of the PC, the USSR could neither allow it,
nor compete against it. It couldn't handle it
as China later did, it waqs a much more closed society
i have russian friends who were there, they all say
it woulld not have collapsed without the outside influences.

the gov is not communist, just a one party dictatorship.
it might as well be a right wing dictatorship, little difference.
the economic system is not communist, it is hybrid of socialism and
capitalism,
i guess you are saying this too.

Your ability to write supid things has no limit Sackman.
USSR was ill since the begining of the sixties and dying since the
begining of the seventies.
You should read a littel bit more rather than remake the history at the
Sackman's saulce. for example :
Chritopher Davis & Murray Feshbach : Rising infant mortality in the USSR
in the 1970s.

Your ability to write stupidities has no limit Sackman. Moreover it
doesn't improve with the age.

Sackman's saulce. For example :

Walesa, Pope... and all their fellow in other socialist republics have
had an influence on the control of the collapse saying that they are at
its origin is a nonsense that only a dunce like you can do.
Reagan was a jerk.

....Do you know that Arnold Krueger has a friend who pretends that DBT is

George is flying to the rescue of is devoted friend.
A <snicker> is more prudent than entering in a discussion that you are
unable to handle. I your case, George, prudence touch to cowardice and
it doesn't improve with the age. :-)

Clyde is not that, Froggie. Not by any means. He has some good points, one
of which is his crystalline disdain for toi.

You just provoked the Krooborg into claiming the entire membership of the
AES endorses "DBTs" for home audio systems. Well done, Chatterella! ;-)

The enemies of my enemies... are my friends. Adolf was saying the same
thing to Benito and have the same deep disdain that you feel for Sackman.
