Personally, I recommend JBL. I've had only excellent experiences with
them!

rockford, kicker memphis are all good... but look at the splw10 on
cardiscountstereos.com it is 129.99 per sub but with a 3" voice coil, a
270 oz. magnet and 2200 watt max. it is sure to beat with the best.

I am a fan of three subwoofers that would suit your needs:

1. Rockford Fosgate P3D20 or the P3D410 it has a 400rms and 800peak for
129.95 plus shipping.

2. Pioneer Premier TS-W1007D2 or TS-W1007D4 it has 350rms and 1000peak
for 59.95 plus shipping.

but if you are wanting to make real noise I recommend....

3. Pioneer Premier TS-W2501D2 or TS-W2501D4 it has 800rms and 2500peak
for 139.95 plus shipping.

I have a TS-W3004SPL like #3 only a 12" and it is so loud it shames
people with two alpine 12''s so for quality and performance I like these
choices two are a bit more than you wanted but I promise it will be well
worth it.
