That's what they're called, right? Head units? I mean the part with
the radio and the cd player :-). Here is my list:

i care about:

good FM reception
cd and cd-rw playing (non finalized disks?)
mp3 playing
good compatibility i dont want to have to reencode files for it to
recognize them
shows song names on screen, easily choosable
allows directory structure or id3 or some form of choosing by genre or
artist or something (search function?)
some type of theft deterrent
easy to use at night
volume dial (no volume buttons blech)

i don't care about:

looks/snazziness (the less snazzy it looks the less likely to get
stolen, right? more easy it is to use)
i don't want separate power amps
no satellite radio
WMA/etc. support i dont care about
cassette

Any suggestions? Pretend I don't know anything. I basically don't, but
I've done a teeny bit of research.
