Alpine has really stepped up in the last few years and has some truly
AWESOME subwoofers. They are definitley worth a listen. Alpine is
single-handedly proving the old axiom "never buy Japaneese speakers" not
true.

on that list the most powerful ones are the kenwood, btw i have two of
those if it is the kfc-w3011 and this things pound bigtime and are
cheap, that would be the best choice there, they are the loudest, and
have 90db sensitivity im pretty shure none of the others on that list
have it , these things are loud

Personally since you are goin with speakers all the way around i would
go with JL Audio ...they have the best sound quality
but with your options i would throw kenwood out for shure but the
alpines would be good with a 2 dvc subs
if you want everything to match go pioneer...best cd players ever with
good mid and high speakers but not so good subs

infinity has really good highs, also check out polk audio or boston
acoustics. im partial to polk myself. infinity has more highs but the
polks are a bit cleaner. for subs go with polk or boston. alpine subs
are ok but i dont care for the speakers. the alpine pdx amps are great.
kenwood excelon or alpine for headunit. i would give the speakers at
least 50watts rms. and the subs stay in the upper 75% of the rms of them

youll never see me thinking of trying jl/rf..EVER!
the best eqs/head units....Alpine/Clarion.
i'd say....you'd be safe buying those. more than likely.
every company has good n not so good models.
now i'm not saying you cant pick out something better.if you look long
enough.
even jensen/boss has some top models.

Just for ****s and giggles, I'll put my two cents in here:
JBL Subs are freakin' AMAZING!!! I have one JBL GTO 1004D, and I've
never been happier with a sub.

I'll second that. I was recently in the market for new tweeters (I blew one
of my MB Quart PSD 216 tweeters), however I wasn't TOO broken up about it as
I had found the sound of the titanium dome Quarts a bit too bright for my
taste. They sound GREAT in a showroom when comparing them with other
tweeters, but I found extended listening sessions would fatigue my ears. I
then tried A WHOLE BUNCH of different tweeters to go with my JL Series 6.5"
mid-woofers in the doors (the best sounding and MOST powerful midbass
speakers I have ever used). I bi-amp my front stage (dedicated amp for
tweeter, a Phoenix Gold with a Coustic X-over before it crossed over at 3500
Hz, and a Rockford Fosgate Punch 225.2, before they got crappy, for the
midrange) so a passive X-over was never part of the equation (my HU
high-passes the fronts at 63 Hz at a slope 24 dB per octive).
Anyway, I have tried Boston Accoustics tweeters (the titanium ones), Alpine,
JL, Advent, and even McIntosh tweeters. I ended up going with Infinity. I
truly believe soft dome tweeters are easier on the ears and more "laid back"
than metal tweets. Perhaps some like that bright, in your face, forward
sound. But for me, I am NEVER going back to metals. Especially in the car
where the speakers are so relatively close to the ears (however, I use
textile tweeters in my Michael Green Designs home speakers as well for the
same reason).

infinity for component speakers and alpine for subs, and alpine for head
unit, and alpine for amp, but i would suggest buying online, u will save
a lot of money, and plus most of the stuff at best buy are anout $5-$10
over priced, so go here, www.onlinecarstereo.com, they have tones of
stuff
