do you have it set for automatic arming? it may be a warning chirp
telling you that it will automatically arm soon.

Hi,
I've recently bought a car with a Clifford Arrow 3 alarm installed.
I've got the manual and have got everything set up OK with one
exception. When I stop driving and open the car door, it
"chirps" (same noise as when it arms/disarms). I can't find any
mention of this in the manual and it's a bit annoying. I've disabled
the "chirps" for arming and disarming, but that hasn't helped.
Does anyone know if it means something, or how I can stop it
happening?
Thanks a lot,
Adam

do your headlights stay on after you shut off the car? it may be the
alarm warning you that they need to be turned off. if i had a manual
in front of me, or could find it on the internet it would be much
easier to figure out the problem.

No, I turned off automatic arming. (I kept on setting off the alarm by
mistake after it auto-armed - and didn't want to risk locking my keys
in the car with auto-lock-on-arm!)

the install manual is the one i would need to look at, and you need a
password to get it.

Well, the manual's at:
http://www.clifford.com/Support/Guides.aspx
(Choose "Arrow 3" from the dropdown menu)
but as I say I can't see anything in there which explains the
(apparently) redundant chirp :(
Thanks,
Adam

The alarm chirps when you turn off the car and open the door? That
doesn't sound right.

Yep.

No. It seems it's not 100% consistent either - it /didn't/ do it this
morning when I opened the door but then I closed the door again,
turned the engine on and off and opened the door and it /did/ do it!
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks a lot,
Adam
