Google me and read up on my history. I cross-post whenever I feel like it,
regardless of who I **** off.

Panasonic ECFA and FC is what I use for the smaller types, and Sanyo
Oscon in the appropriate places.
BHC Aerovox or Nichicon SMH for the bigguns.

Should be ECA. Blurb.

Let's see......48 or 120V? ;-)

6.81 k and 47 uF gives about 5Hz -3dB, should be fine IMO.

What's the obsession with the higher voltage rating ? It only relates to oxide
depth on the ali film AIUI.

AFAIK running a cap near its rated voltage has negative effects on its life.
I'd be more comfortable with a phantom blocking cap that was rated at 63 or
100 volts, than one that was rated at 50 volts.

I say this knowing that I own any number of pieces of equipment that have 50
volt phantom blockers and have led a long and happy lives. I know that some
manufacturer's 50 volt electrolytics will outlast other manufacturers 100
volt parts in this application.

I don't recall ever seeing any data to that effect. Life is determined by the
electrolyte drying up AIUI. A bit of leakage current won't do that.

The voltage 'rating' is somewhat notional. You can in fact operate electrolytics
at a higher voltage than the rating but the leakage current does increase.

"Voltage derating also increases the life of a capacitor but to a far lesser
extent, as compared to temperature deratings."
