A field in the ID3v2 tag can be used to hold a picture file, but I've
not checked on what players can use it.
http://www.id3.org/id3v2.3.0
Section 4.15 is the relevant bit
Hope this helps.
Tciao for Now!

Thanks !
Audacity was able to read it and shows an Id3V2 tag...
Unknown of CoolEdit ! (Nice to buy a sharware that you CANNOT upgrade anymore)
After exporting to .Wav, it can be read and saved in "normal" mp3 format !
Thanks !!

CoolEdit was never distributed as "shareware" that
I am aware of. You may have an illegal copy.

Sadly it was a shareware (nicely) made by David Johnston...
I even had to pay by international post for there were no Credit Card
nor Paypal at those times (unsure of the year) ...
In my archives, I only found this (newer) email :
In a message dated 95-12-07 05:33:52 EST, you write:

This is the first I've heard of this problem. David, can you help?

Syntrillium Software
After that, I had a nice opportunity to move from Sharware to Software;
Then, all got broken when this was sold to a major company...
Philippe who PAID for it and cannot buy plug-ins or upgrades ANYMORE

Early editions of CoolEdit were shareware, at least up through CE96 and
possibly CE2000. The software was functional, but only three functions could
be used in any one instance, and if one of those functions was "save" you
really only had two. Good incentive to buy the full-service version, as was
the reasonable price.
Peace,
Paul
