I'm selling my VMP-2. I'm not doing anywhere near the amount of
recording I used to do so it seems a shame to just let it sit. The VMP-2
is very hard to find so if anyone ever thought about getting a stereo
tube mic pre this might be the one.. $800.00 + Shipped to the lower 48
I've also got a Fostex DP-8 which is a digital patchbay. You can connect
8 of your digital units via photo optic lines. .... $150.00 + Shipping
I'll take paypal if the buyer adds 3% for the BS fee paypal charges. If
interested email ljmax at earthlink dot net. Thanks for looking.

You'd think I'd know the difference between an asterisk and a plus sign
plus spelling. ;)

And, my turn, now I'm selling my VMP2... I have more stuff, too..

Hard-to-find high end stereo tube preamp/EQ/DI. Both 1/4" and XLR inputs and
outputs, phantom power, sweet 2-band EQ, 3-position lo-cut switch (off, 40
Hz, 80Hz), and -20dB pad. Excellent condition, works perfect, 2 rack spaces.
$795 plus shipping FIRM or I keep it. Payment by US Postal money order
only - except for R.A.P. regulars, who can use PayPal. I can provide
references. 520-578-2970 AFTER 10am AZ time, please.

I hated selling my VMP-2 because it took me a long time to find one but
since I haven't used it but once in the last 4 months I thought it best
to get it to someone who will use it. I sold it for pretty much what
you are selling yours for and like you I turned down lower offers and it
was just going to sit in my rack if nobody paid what I was asking.
Good luck with your sale.

Those are very good preamps- I have two of them. Nice to see the
marketplace showin' them some love! I use mine all the time; couldn't
imagine life without them, really. They rock on kick, snare, electric
guitars, overheads, on and on... I keep the EQ pretty much switched
out but I do use the low cut switches. They can also sound cool
with a colored mic, like an AKG 460B or Soundelux U95, on acoustic
guitar.
I really like them on drum overheads with KM-184's or 460B's. Nice
and silky and you can really hear the harmonic overtones of the
cymbals sort of moving around in there.
If I had a spare $800 laying around, I'd be dang tempted to buy a
THIRD one!
