Hi Everyone,

I am a computer engineer planning to do a post grad in music
technology. I have got acceptance from the following colleges :

Indian University-Purdue University, Indiana

Frost School of Music, Miami, FL

Georgia Tech, Atlanta

University of Edinburgh, Scotland

I need some advice on which would be a better choice to go for apart
from the Scholarship part which I will be needing.

Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers,
Sriram

It really depends on your intended focus. Are you planning to
approach "music technology" as a software/hardware engineer, recording
engineer, composer, etc.? The Frost School of Music at the University
of Miami actually has two different master's programs in "music
technology." One is an MS in Music Engineering (design), and the
other is an MM in Electronic Music (composition). Which were you
accepted to?

I am planning to go for the "Software" part of the Music Technology
field of research.
I don't think University of Miami differentiates in Music Engineering
at the admission time. Its only when you start taking electives, the
choice of a specialization comes in.
