My vote is the: Rockford Fosgate P4004

I've heard a lot of good things about this amp... about the
extraordinary detail that it brings out, very low distortion, the
control settings that it features, high-end circuitry to eliminate
distortion, outputs significantly higher than the rated power, etc...

Can anybody find a better 4-channel amp than this one for under 300
dollars? If not, I'm going to buy this one.

For amps, I'm a Kicker fan.. I bought a pair of IX704's for about
$250 ea off ebay about 8 or 9 years ago, when they just came out, and
they still pound the everliving **** out of any speakers I put on em.
And I pound em too.. 70x4@4, 140x2@2, or 280x2@4 (rms). I always
liked them better than the RF or MTX amps I've had in the past.

Unfortunately, since I haven't bought amps in such a long time, I
can't give you any recommendations about current models or anything,
but when I finally DO need to buy again, I'll be looking at kicker
amps first, something like the zx650.4 looks good at 120x4@4, 170x4@2,
or 325x2@4 (rms). $250-$300 shipped on ebay right now.

Power is good... but I don't want an amp that can easily blow my
speakers out (or my ears for that matter) at 120 Watts. I was
thinking along the lines of 60-80 Watts RMS per speaker for a 4-
channel. High quality sound is what I'm aiming for. Reliability
second. Power third. I know 50 Watts with my speakers can pretty
much make you go deaf. I'm running 17 Watts to each speaker and it's
loud, but the music is slurred a little because it's running off the
head unit amp and the bass is lacking.

This one fits your budget, the power you need, plus two extra channels
for a sub if you so decide down the road.

Thanks, I'll consider them... but I'm still leaning toward the fosgate
one.
