Can I, how can I, or what is the best way to wire a single 8 Ohm
subwoofer to a 2-channel, 4 Ohm Amplifier?

Yes, you can.
Bridge the amp into the speaker. An 8-Ohm mono load is the same, as far
as the amp is concerned, as a stereo 4-Ohm load. Consult the owner's
manual (or the markings on the side of the amp) to see how to wire it
in bridged mono configuration.

Are you saying I need to wire from + channel 1 on amp to + on sub, - on
sub to - channel 2 on amp? do I also need to wire - channel 1 on amp to
+ channel 2 on amp?

I do not have the manual, so let me ask this...

Thank you, I found the manual online and it all makes sense. Thanks for
the insight.

ASSUMING the amp supports bridging, of course (probably does, but not all do).
