View Full Version : Pioneer DEH-45DH or DEH-45H Cd changer control?

My g/f has a Pioneer DEH45DH or possibly a DEH-45H GM/Chrysler sized
HU in her car. Pioner doesn't have a manual online for this unit and
I'm hoping to find out if this unit can control an external cd changer.
If so, maybe I can find out what interface it is. IIRC Pioneer has 2
different cd changer control interfaces.

I want to buy a PAC or PIE adapter for this unit so I can convert the
cd changer line inputs to an auxiliary line input for her mp3 player.

Does anyone have the info I need for this unit? I realize it's an
*old* HU, but it still works pretty darn good and I'd hate to get one
of those POS FM modulators.

Thanks!
Michael

Those units are not CD changer ready.
Pioneer units that are CD changer or XM ready will have a P in the model #
DEH-P77DH
Those units do not have a input either, so if you want to add a CD Changer
you would have to go with a FM modulated unit

Ok, I was afraid of that. Thanks very much for the info.
