I have xp media edition and cannot use the mbox2. What do I do to make this
compatible?

I honestly don't think you can use it with media center. I would say just partition your drive and install XP pro on the other partition and go for it.
Maybe someone else knows a work around, but I've never heard of one.
Have you tried the duc.digidesign.com ?

Have you thought about your chipset? is it correct? if not you are more than likely using a computer that will not ever be able to use the M-box or the protools software. You need at least 500mb of ram and your best bet for compatability is mac or mitsubishi.
