Hi. You want standard stereo phono plugs from the tape out jacks of the
amp to a stereo mini jack into your soundcard. Available at Radio
Shack, etc. That's the simplest way, as far as I know. Use the
software of your choice (Audacity is free and is easy to use). Enjoy.
If you then want someone to take free vinyl off your hands, shoot me an
email ;-)

One thing to watch out for - many PC laptops don't have a line in, but
only a microphone in, which is mono.

There are cheap USB solutions which provide a stereo line in if this is
the case. I've picked one up for precisely this reason though I haven't
yet recorded any vinyl.

True; I was thinking Mac as that's what I use.

And the RIAA Equalisation will be done where?

I would suggest a monitor output (e.g. tape out) from the pre-amp and then
it will also be line level.

Or use a phono stage, then input to the computer.

Cheers TT

Yeah, my wife has a Mac laptop, and based on that I assumed I could just
take my PC notebook & the appropriate cable and I was in business. I
wasn't terribly surprised to learn that as usual, Apple got this right
and I had to buy extra hardware to make it work with my notebook ;-)

The Rega, which seems to be an integrated amp with phono input?

Close enough!
