pioneer deh-45dh

i have a pioneer deh-45dh.radio works,when i put cd in,i hear nothing
for about 5 seconds.it then spits it out and powers down.i have no
repair manual,and the user manual gives no such description in the
troubleshooting page.this happens with any cd iput in,i have tried
multiple.seems like it just doesnt see the cd.any ideas?thanks from

Sounds like either the laser is bad and con not reading the CD or the motor
that spins the CD is bad
