BlackJax 5 Installation

I have some questions about adding a Clifford BlackJax 5 as a
standalone unit on a Montero Sport SUV that is already fitted with an
after-market Scytek VisionGuard 6000 remote start alarm. The
installation of the BlackJax requires that the 12 volt constant wire of
the vehicle be cut and routed through the control unit (ignition
immobilizer). This also applies to the starter wire (starter
immobilizer). The Scytek remote start alarm is already connected to
these two wires. My question is where does one make the cuts on these
wires - before or after the connections to the Scytek remote start
alarm?
Additionally, the BlackJax requires to be wired to the door switch and
brake lights wires. The remote start alarm is already connected to
these wires. Would relays be required to avoid the two units
conflicting or malfunctioning?

You do not want to cut the Constant wire, but the true ignition wire. The
ignition wire will have 12 volts in the ignition position and the start
position.

This also applies to the starter wire (starter

Both Ignition kill and starter kill should be hooked up before the remote
start wires. the side the connects to the ignitionn switch.

The Door pin, brake wire and speed sense/RPM wire can all be tapped in with
the remote start wires. they do not need to be isolated.

But just to understand better, do you mean:

The Scytek Remote Start Alarm is hooked up to the ignition/stater wires
BEFORE THE CUTS ie at the ignition switch end and before the connection
to and from the BlackJax module OR are they hooked up AFTER THE CUTS ie
after the connection to and from the BlackJax module and towards the
vehicle's ignition/stater?

Won't the requirement to input the secret code for the BlackJax before
starting the car always interfere with remote starting? ie can the
vehicle be remotely started without having to input the BlackJax code?

The remote start should be hooked up to the Starter wire, Ignition wire,
Accessory wire from the ignition switch.
All of these wires should be about 10ga wires. When you cut one of these
wires your going to have a switch side (the side of the wire that goes to
the ignition switch)
and a load side (side the wire that Goes to fuse box or starter wire).
Where the remote start wires are spliced into the Ignition and the starter
wire you want to cut that wire on the switch side of the connections from
the remote start. The remote start will still work when these wires are cut
because the remote start simulates your igition switch so does not need the
switch to work.
If the blackjack is activated, the remote start will work, but using the key
in the ignition will not untill you put in your code.
After you install Blackjax , you have to do this. Activate remote start,
enter vehicle and turn on key, before touching your brake enter code. then
you can hit brake and drive

If you cut the Ignition and Starter wires on the load side of the remote
start splices, the Blackjack may stop the remote start from working or only
running for a very sort time.

Your Starter wire in the ignition harness should be Black/yellow and the
Ignition wire should be Black/white
