Has anyone needed to get a big, fat, rich sound on narrative tracks? I
think of it as sounding like a broadcaster's voice. Anyhow, I am doing
post-production on this project [no control over production] and I need
to fatten up the narrative tracks.
What plug-ins would you recommend for the job? I am using SONAR 5. I
have Sonitus which isn't quite right for the task and/or I can't get the
results with my knowledge/skill level and limited time.
I had used Blockfish [1 of 3 modules in the free Fish Fillets collection
from Sascha Eversmeier] on Cubase several years ago with good results in
the past. It plugged right into SONAR today by dropping the .dll files
into the VstPlugins directory. One quirk I noticed is that when fiddling
with the levels, parts of the SONAR interface freeze momentarily,
although playback and effects processing aren't noticeably affected.
If I could find another one or two options cut from a similar cloth to
Blockfish - but that behave better with the interface - I'd be a happy
dog. Heck, anyone's suggestions for free or inexpensive plugins of
practically any kind would be welcome! lol. I have collector's complex
when it comes to certain things...
Cheers,
Johnny
P.S. Sascha Eversmeier's free plugins, and the main page, are worth
checking out IMO: http://www.digitalfishphones.com/main.php?item=2&subItem=1
