Hi RATs,
These tubes are humble, if incidentally, gargantuan, devices for
bringing some, not all, of the Music from the wretched recording
processes into our rooms for careful consideration and/or instant
dismissal ... the results from any test of these systems matters not to
the recording, nor to me.
I like hearing whatever is left after the recording/reproduction
processes have all done their worst, or best. All those noises can be
truthfully characterized and condemned. Yet, I am happy to dream of all
the actual performances, which are seperate from both recording and
playback ideosynchracies. No true, honest stories about the busride to
that little town in the big mountains can diminish the joy of seeing so
much sky in my eyes all at one time.
There are things which simply don't care about our very real
complaints.
Some good folks are trying to sell us miscellaneous widgets to grace
our domiciles. Some will prosper, some will starve. Nothing indicates
any correlation between showing real big sky and real big profits ever
existed.
Simply believing that a real big sky, somewhere, is possible, is all we
need to smile in ectsasy.
Big profits are not part of this process.
Happy Ears!
