Hey all,
awhile ago I asked for opinions about mic choice for recording an upright
bass in a jazz trio context (bass , drums, piano).
Well the project is entering the mixing phase, and I thought I'd post an
example of how it turned out.
The bass ended up recorded with a MXL 603 and a DI. We used a 60/40 mix of
the two. The 60 being the mic.
It's funny, with a recording like this... The more I stayed out of the way
technically, and let it happen, this the better it sounds....
As a friend of mine says about recording "so much to see & learn."
Anyway, here is a link to a mp3. It's about a 3 MB download.

Thanks for all of the help guys. Much appreciated.
