Does anyone know who holds the publishing rights to Stephen Temmer's
English translation of Michael Dickreiter's "Tonmeister Technology" book?
Temmer Enterprises Inc. published it in 1989, but it is long out of
print.
Has anyone heard of a re-printing? Are the publishing rights available?
Anybody got one/some?

I tried to research this three or four years ago. The rights apparently
belong to Mr. Temmer's surviving partner here in New York, whom I
reached without great difficulty. He suggested that the NYU Bookstore
might have copies left, but that turned out not to be the case.
I didn't wish to disturb his privacy further, and I don't know where my
notes are from my conversation with him. But at least as of that time,
he could still be found through publicly available information.
If you pursue this and succeed in republishing the translation, from
all I can tell, you'd be doing a real service. Please let us know how
it goes.

The answer to that last question is yes. Bookfinder.com shows two
in the $200 range (the second entry from half.com is from the same
seller as the first). And don't believe those four-digit prices on
Amazon, I believe they are a code for "email me and make an offer." I
wouldn't deal with such sellers if I could possibly avoid it.
And "fair disclosure" I sell books online, but I don't have that
one.
