Does anyone know how to 'ignore' a thread in Thunderbird, and make it
stick? It seems that when I select a thread and select 'ignore thread',
it only ignores those articles already downloaded and next time I sign
on the thread reappears.

Thanks Ron(UK)

Try the "k" key when on any post in the offensive thread. Should do
the same as the menu option, I suppose, but I know that k works the
way you want it with my NNTP server.

I just wish someone would make it work on subthreads as well so that
tangents could be killed without making the rest of the thread
invisible. It would also be nice to be able to filter out kooks _and_
their spawn.

Life must be indeed be frustrating for an arrogant asshole with a god
complex. Unfortunately, on this planet "have it your way" only applies
when you are ordering a hamburger. However, when you get your own
planet, you can set up the rules anyway you want.

Also, that quote which you attribute to Einstein has about as much dept
as **** on a flat rock, as does much of what you have to say.
