Hi, folks:
Does anyone have a non-sarcastic suggestion for where I can locate a
Stanton D74S stylus? Or, possibly a PRO-96 cartridge?
If such a thing is impossible to come by, any recommendations for an
equivalent replacement?
Thanks!

Thanks for the directions, but I've already contacted them. Neither
site appears to directly have the D74S, though lpgear.com suggests the
D73S -- which is a step down in quality, and is 90 bucks. I've emailed
both companies for specific replacements or comparables.

I suspect that Jerry Raskin's Needle Doctor or even J&R Music World will
sell you a replacement for the D74S stylus. If not the OEM one, they
should have a third-party replacement.

It's hard for me to recommend anything without a lot of sarcasm. But you
might try the DJ-100 from Grado, which likes an arm of about the same
compliance and won't tear up your records by mistracking like the Stanton
will. It will have stereo separation at high frequencies too.

Wait, do you want a whole D73S, or just the replacement stylus? Many of
the Stanton styli can be interchanged between several cartridges.
