I just got a digi001 on ebay and it came with LE 5.3, I downloaded 6.7
and tried to install it. Everything seems to go fine until the reboot.
After the XP screen pops up I get a blue screen and have to boot in
safe mode. I don't have any updates to XP as this machine is not
connected to the net. Would SP2 allow me to run 6.7? Or is there
another version of Pro Tools I should be looking for? Thanks, Zac

PTLE 6.4 is the newest version that will work with the Digi 001. Hence
the difficulty with 6.7. If you search around the Digidesign website,
you might find the proper files to upgrade to 6.4. But I don't
remember at what point the upgrade is free and when you have to pay for
it.

Take the digi001 out of the computer. reboot. uninstall pro tool
(INCLUDING DRIVERS), turn off, put the 001 back in. reboot. install 6.4
and the cs updates. if you get anymore blue screens update pace drivers.

Looks like the only place I can get a copy of 6.4 is the digi site.
Where in the product manual can I find the authorization code? I have
flipped all through it and can't find it.

The auth code is inside the front cover the manual, top left corner.

Where are you? If you get stuck I probably have a 6.4 disc I could send
you, but you'd still need your code.

I have the Ref. manual and there is nothing on the inside cover. I am
in SC. Will I be able to get a new Auth. code from digi?

That would be a question for Digidesign. Call 'em.
