View Full Version : Need a blank or pocket to fill empty space

August 31st 06, 06:06 PM
A while back I replaced the stock receiver in my Subaru Outback. The
new one is a single DIN slot; the stock radio is two.

Everything works and sounds great, but I want to fill the empty slot
with a blank, or preferably a pocket to hold disks or my cell phone.
I've been searching a while for a generic pocket, and I'm not making
any real progress. Does such a thing exist, and where would I get one?

Exactly. Or you can go to your Subaru dealership and they will sell you a
DIN pocket designed for your car.

OR, you could install another piece of audio gear, like a DVD player,
EQ/Sound Processor, etc. That's what I'd do (never waste empty dash space).
;)

Perfect! Thanks guys. I considered the Subaru dealer, but that part
would probably cost $50, ifyaknowwhatImean.

Try asking at a couple car-audio shops... when I was installing, we always had a
ton of these things that we pulled out of cars to put in decks, and we usually
kept a good stock of them around for a purpose such as yours. They may even
have one FROM a Subaru.
