promotions at lastFM

hi. first off this is not spam or a solicitation. i'm wondering if
anyone has experience with lastFM (http://www.last.fm/) and its
promotional services for artists. i don't mind spending money on
advertising, but i've yet ot hear a story where it was even remotely
warranted by sales...at least at the indie level.

anyone? is there any indie advertising/PR etc thats worth looking into?

since the entry level is fairly lower ($20 for 100 "power plays") i may
just check it out.
