NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, man, I thought I'd seen the last of the Brush Acoustiicel 25 years
ago when the studio where I worked got shut down. That mic sucked back
when *any* mic was a good mic.

As far as I can remember this is a piezoelectric microphone.
It might be good for ultra lo fi or hammering in tacs.
They use a cell made up of multiple layers of Rochelle salt crystals
and have a high impedance output. They are badly effected by humidity.
The last one I saw was used in an old sound level meter from the 1940s.
Its a curiosity but of no value except perhaps as part of a display
microphone types.

Yes, this is one of the crappy crystal microphones that came with the
Brush Soundmirror. You can hear a recording made with one of them
(and a DC bias recorder, no less) on the first Stereophile test CD.

I would be very surprised if it still worked today.... the crystal inside
is rochelle salt and sealed up with tar... if any air gets past the tar
the crystal will deliquesce and turn to goo.
