Hi all:

I teach audio recording and production here at Drexel University in
Philly, and I'm prepping a course called Studio Maintenance and
Management. My colleague is teaching the maintenance portion, and I'm
doing the management. I'm collecting materials from as many studios as
I can, big and small. I would really appreciate it if any of you who
own or work at a studio big or small can share any of the following
with me:

1. Track sheets
2. Invoices
3. Client informational materials (studio policies, payment procedures,
booking rules, etc.)
4. Studio assistant and general assistant manuals or policy sheets, or
any training materials for interns or assistants.
5. Any other materials related to studio management and maintenance.

We have a nice program here, and I've been working hard to prepare
these kids for what the real world has to offer. I would appreciate
any help you could give. We're looking for a wide variety of
information pertaining to all types of studios, from the big rooms all
the way down to the one man operations.

Word, Excel, and other electronic files can be emailed to me at

Hard copies should be sent to me at:

Jim Klein
Assistant Professor, Music Industry
Drexel University
3141 Chestnut Street, Building 9-2018
Philadelphia, PA 19104

I will be happy to reimburse you for postage or copying expenses, and
will also be happy to make copies of anything and return the originals.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Jim

Hi,
That time of the year again eh?
I'm doing something similar...
City and Guilds course no.1820 has some units in Session Management and
MIDI Computer Program Management (or something), was just reading it
today. There's a new syllabus, most of it is the usual rubbish, but
these two units might give you a list of what you need to find...
I'll try find a link to a PDF.

> 1. Track sheets
> 2. Invoices

Try download Apogee Session Tools... Or this...

I was also considering developing something similar for a private
course...
How do you become an Assistant Professor in sound engineering? ;-)
